German car maker Volkswagen is now gearing up to launch its much-awaited 2011 Volkswagen Jetta luxury sedan in India. The new-generation sedan car Volkswagen Jetta is expected to be available in the Indian auto market soon this year. The car was globally introduced last year.
The new Volkswagen Jetta car is partly based on the PQ35 platform which has been used in Volkswagen Golf, Skoda Superb and Skoda Yeti. The car has clean and simple stylish lines with large taillight as well as L shaped stoplight.
The Volkswagen Jetta will be available in both the fuel variants. It will come with 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine which is able to produce 140 Bhp of maximum power and the TSI 1.8 litre turbo petrol engine that is capable of generating 160 Bhp of maximum power. The interior of the car includes new dashboard and styling, resistance rolling for tires, BlueMotion and new navigation system that will deliver great comfort and elegance.
This is also being expected that the new Volkswagen Jetta sedan car will be longer in length. It will include DSG gearbox with 6-speed manual and automatic gear system. The new Volkswagen Jetta will compete with its contemporaries like Skoda Laura, Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla Altis.
